Our frankincense tea is made with only the richest gum of the boswellia tree, which has been used since ancient times as an herbal tea in many cultures and can be used as an all natural medicinal remedy for a variety of ailments like treating inflammation and respiratory infections, strengthening the immune system. Boswellic acid is known to be the compound in frankincense responsible for its health benefits such as anti-inflammation.
In this very tea blend, the gum steeped in the correct high temperature water allows the wonderful “boswellic acid” compounds to slowly release with an herbal blend amplifying the quality. A substantial amount of boswellic acid is lost in the process of distilling frankincense for essential oil, making it less active than in its natural form.
